The human behind the bot

I've spent my career on the sales and operations side of small and mid-sized businesses — the side where the phone actually rings and somebody has to answer it. That's the lens I bring to AI: not what the technology can do, but what it can do for a business that has payroll on Friday.

My incentive here is to tell you where not to put AI. Most of the failures I see are not bad models. They are good tools bolted onto a process nobody understood, sold by someone paid on the install.

If the honest answer is that you don't need me, that's the answer you'll get. I'd rather have your referral than your retainer.
